The COVID-19 pandemic as a global health issue poses a great impact to education. In spite of the challenges brought about by this circumstance, the Department of Education still ensures the continuity of learning among learners through coming up with the list of the most essential learning competencies (MELCs) to be used in the field nationwide for SY 2020-2021.
Relative to this, an Orientation Webinar on MELCs will be conducted on June 17 -18, 2020 from 8:00 am — 5:00 pm through the YouTube Channel of DepEd Dasmarinas; http//youtube.com/c/depeddasmarinascity. This activity basically aims to explain how DepEd conceptualized the listing of these competencies and how can teachers and learning leaders ensure the delivery of these across learning modalities. Moreover, this orientation aims to answer questions in relation to how teaching will happen considering this set of LCs.
Participants to this activity are all public elementary and secondary school heads and all teachers from elementary level to senior high school level.
