1. As we continuously improve our curriculum delivery among public schools in the City of Dasmariñas, one of the projects we have started is the development of division-initiated learning activity sheets and online courses for DepEd Dasma Online Learning Space (OLS). Due to the time constraints and quality assurance gaps in crafting these materials, errors in content, as well as gender biases, were identified in some learning resources. This situation prompted our office to not only review and enhance the materials we create but also to conduct a course on the
development and quality assurance of gender-responsive learning resources.
2. As such, the Curriculum Implementation Division-Learning Resource Management and Development section shall conduct an Online Course on the
Development and Quality Assurance of Gender-Responsive Learning Resources on August 03-12, 2022. Pilot-testing among CID Supervisors will be
conducted on August 03-05, 2022 while the Batch 1 roll-out will be conducted on August 08-12, 2022. This training aims to develop awareness in gender-responsive education; apply GAD principles in the quality assurance of learning resources; and address identified gender biases in learning resources. Synchronous opening and closing programs shall be held virtually.
3. School heads shall recommend 3-5 participants for the first batch. Head teachers, master teachers, and quality assurance team members are strongly preferred to attend the training. Participants must pre-register at https://bit.ly/PreRegDQALR22 on or before August 01, 2022, 5:00 PM. Non-registrants shall not be issued certificates.
