1. The Department of Education, through the Bureau of Learning Resources (BLR), announces the conduct of the Gawad Teodora Alonso 2024 or formerly called the 6th National Storybook Writing Competition. In line with this, the CID-Learning Resource Management Section shall conduct the Division Competition on
Storybook Writing 2024 on July to August 2024. Enclosed in this Memorandum is the schedule of activities relative to the conduct of this competition.
2. The competition aims to appreciate the roles of stories and illustrated storybooks as a tool in reading enhancement, harvest original stories that demonstrate learning competencies of the MATATAG curriculum, recognize talents of teachers, non-teaching personnel, basic education leaders, and learners in
storybook production and storytelling, and contribute to the repository of learning resources.
3. Participants may submit their entries at https://bit.ly/DSMDCSW24 on or before August 19, 2024.
