In line with the goal of the Department of making every learner a reader and as part of Division’s comprehensive reading program, a meeting of teachers and learning leaders will be conducted on January 12, 2021 at 9 am via Google Meet as initial step in establishing community of practice for reading.
This endeavor intends to profile and gather all reading enthusiasts who have common goal and expertise in this field. This team is expected to share their ideas, skills, and expertise in revisiting division and schools’ reading program, crafting responsive offline and online reading materials and assessment tool, reskilling and upskilling of teachers, crafting reading manual for reading coaches at home, and designing literacy-related activities aligned with the new normal and post-pandemic contexts.
The participants are those who have shown interest to be part of the team by accomplishing the google sheet shared to all reading coordinators and English Key and Head Teachers. Reading scholars and teachers with MA and PhD units in reading are also included in this reading core group.
