Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 98, s. 2017, Emergency Measures in Response to the Marawi Situation, this Division is raising support for displaced learners and teachers due to insurgency in Marawi.
All public schools through their School Heads and Adopt-a-School Coordinators are hereby enjoined to mobilize support to provide the immediate needs of learners and teachers.
For DepEd Region IV-A, the assigned resource is health and hygiene kit which includes soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, sanitary pads for female high school students and drinking water.
This should be done on a voluntary basis only and must not be mandatory nor become a school requirement.
ASP coordinators may also invite partners from non-government organizations, parent-teacher associations, and other members of the community or the private sector to donate. The Division Office and schools shall place drop boxes and may conduct other activities to generate the assigned donations-in-kind. The collection period shall be on July 3 to July 14, 2017.
For proper recording and to ensure that donations are accounted for, the attached Report Template must be accomplished. For other inquiries, feel free to reach us at (046) 432 3629 local 218 and look for Mr. Wilson G. Centeno of Social Mobilization and Networking Unit.
Immediate dissemination and compliance of this memorandum is desired.
