1. The Department of Education has implemented the Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS) and Learners Information System (US) to establish an accurate and reliable registry of learners and profile of schools. in this regard, the Planning and Research Unit will conduct the Division Orientation on Data Collection of Basic Education Statistics in the Learners Information System (US) and Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS) of SY 2019-2020 on September 12-13, 2019 at CSDO Conference Room and Dasmariñas Integrated High School – Library.
2. This activity aims to:
a. Provide updates on the policy guidelines on the collection of data/information requirements for the beginning of school year 2019-2020 in the Learner
Information System (LIS) and Enhanced Basic Education Information System (EBEIS);
b. Capacitate participants to train the advisers / teachers;
c. Gather feedback on the current use of the learners information system (LIS) in schools;
d. Clarify and strengthen the roles and responsibilities of School Heads, LIS/EBEIS Coordinator and advisers I teachers in the implementation of projects at their respective schools; and
e. Enlist their commitment and participation to agreed activities and timelines.
3. All public and private elementary, junior and senior high schools (SHS), state universities and colleges (SUCs), local universities and colleges (LUCs), and higher education institutions (HEIs) offering Kindergarten to Grade 12 are directed to register and update their learners’ profiles and quick count enrolment in the US as well as school’s the profile and other data elements in the EBEIS.
