With the objective of acquiring insights in ensuring the stakeholders’ satisfaction, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas conducted the orientation on International Organization for Standardization last September 7-8, 2017 at the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park, Kawit, Cavite. This activity is the organization’s initial step in preparation for an ISO certification.

The resource speaker, Mr. Paul Bagatsing, started by saying how the term “ISO” was dreaded by organizations and industries as they experienced audit teams observing standard processes. He reiterated that the general principle of ISO is continual improvement therefore, the standards set must not only be complied with but also improved according to the demands of the organization and its stakeholders. Workshops were steered to understand the core concepts of ISO such as the context of the organization, leadership, planning, support, operations, performance evaluation, and improvement that are aimed towards a customer-centered organization.

Among the participants were SDS Manuela Tolentino, SGOD Chief Emmanuel Resurreccion, CID Chief Lina Tibayan, selected Education Program Supervisors, Public Schools District Supervisors, Senior Education Program Specialists, and Unit Heads.
