In September 2015, world leaders in the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit once again reaffirmed its commitment to the realization of the vision for Education for All in the adoption of Sustainable Development Goal #4 (SDG4) on Quality Education. The SDG4 will again be the pivotal important step in the development of international education policy.

Committed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the new Philippine Government has integrated SDGs into the long-term development vision and goals (AmBisyon Natin 2040) and in some instance the national, sectoral and subnational plans. For SDG4, we have yet to develop an implementation roadmap that will serve as an overall framework to guide education stakeholders on the needed actions, resources, partnerships and monitoring mechanisms to ensure the success of SDG4 implementation.

On September 22, 2016, 1-5 PM at the ISO Complex, Ateneo De Manila Campus, Loyola Heights, Quezon City, E-Net Philippines will be holding a National Forum on SDG4 or the “Quality Education Goal”. With the theme “No One Left Behind – Towards the Realization of an Equitable and Inclusive Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All Filipinos”, the forum aims to generate awareness on SDG4 or Quality Education Goal and gather inputs and insights from different education stakeholders- government, civil society, teachers, youth and students on their perspectives and recommendations on how the SDG4 goal will be achieved by 2030.
