1. Cognizant of the feedback from various schools in this Division through the Division RPMS Helpdesk, and as a follow-through to the Division Orientation on the RPMS-PPST Guidelines for SY 2022-2023, this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division, would like to clarify the classroom observation process and the classroom observable indicators (COIs) re: RPMS-PPST for SY 2022-2023.
2. The Classroom Observation Process for the purpose of RPMS-PPST shall be guided by the instructions in DepEd Memorandum No. 008, s. 2023 or the Multi- Year Guidelines on the RPMS-PPST. For SY 2022-2023, only two (2) classroom observations, that shall be done in the last two (2) quarters of the SY, are required for the purpose of performance evaluation in the RPMS-PPST. These observations shall be scheduled in advance, and the Ratee must be informed of the schedule at least three (3) working days before the classroom observation. Additional classroom observations may be conducted for purposes of technical assistance to teachers to improve their teaching practice. However, classroom observations conducted for
technical assistance purposes will not be a factor in the determination of a Ratee’s performance rating.
