1. DepEd Order No.22 s. 2023 re: Implementing Guidelines on the School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024 primarily aims to enable schools and community learning centers (CLC) to implement school activities and maximize instructional time in cognizance of the goals and objectives of the DepEd MATATAG Agenda effectively and efficiently.
2. It is stated in the General Guidelines that “Recognizing its crucial role in
enabling in-depth and real time teacher-learner interaction, in-person learning shall remain the primary learning delivery modality in all schools” However, on the celebration of Teacher’s Day in the City of Dasmarinas on October 6, 2023, this office hereby authorizes all schools to shift from face-to-face modality to distance learning modality.
3. Distance learning modality refers to the learning delivery modality where
learning takes place between the teachers and learners who are geographically
remote from each other during instruction. It includes Online Distance Learning, Modular Distance Learning and Blended Distance Learning.
4. In the implementation of distance learning modality, school heads shall ensure that teachers are tasked to provide learner instructional support and the learning competencies to be taught or delivered that day shall not be compromised. Likewise, teachers shall guarantee that learners have been issued with available learning resources to facilitate learning at home.
