1. Pursuant to DM 50 s. 2020 also known as DepEd Professional Development (PD) Priorities for Teachers and School Leaders for School Year 2020 – 2023 and with reference to DO 32, s. 2017 re: Gender Responsive Basic Education Policy which commits to integrate the principles of gender equity, gender equality, no discrimination and human rights in the provision and governance of basic education, the Division will be conducting Gender and Development (GAD) Summit 2023 with the theme “Empowering Equity: Centralizing GAD PAPs and Innovations” on the following schedule:

2. The activity aims to:

a. harmonized strategic approach to ensure effective implementation of L&D and GAD programs, projects and activities.
b. provide coordinators with the new set of guidelines in the submission of proposals, accomplishment reports, plans and budget;
c. orient participants on the new databases and communication platforms;
d. guide L&D coordinators on the priority needs of teaching and teaching-related personnel for the crafting of professional development activities; and
e. assist GAD coordinators on the GAD priority programs for the crafting of school GAD plan and budget.
