1. Relative to the conduct of the Regional Memorandum No. 391, s. 2023 titled
Regional Training of Trainers (RToT) for Higher Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Mathematics, and Science Teachers, the field is hereby informed of the Division Rollout of Higher-Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Science, and Mathematics Teachers (Grades 7 and 8), in-person/ stay-in modality, from December 4 to 8, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, venue to be released in a separate memorandum.
2. At the end of the program, participants will be able to:
a. Demonstrate an understanding of the SOLO Framework and the HOTS
Professional Learning Packages as evidenced by their meritorious formative and
summative assessment results; and
b. Develop a Workplace Application Plan to:
i. conceptualize SOLO-based teaching strategies/methodologies;
ii. assess learner’s cognitive level consistent with the SOLO Framework; and
iii. formulate assessment items/instructional questions promoting HOTS.
3. All public secondary schools must send two (2) participants per subject (English, Science, and Math) per level (Grades 7 and 8) and must pre-register on or before November 24, 2023 via cutt.ly/DasmaHOTSG7and8PreReg.
4. Travel costs incurred during the in-person participation shall be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing guidelines. Thus, all participants are required to bring and submit DTR and Travel Authority.
