Sharing one commitment to ensure that all schools are clean, safe, and ready for the opening of classes, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas, together with its partners and stakeholders, held the Division Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off and Volunteers Day on May 27 at Dasmariñas Integrated High School.

Present in the event are more than 1000 Brigada Eskwela volunteers composed of school heads, teachers, parents, students, private partners and other stakeholders from the 43 public elementary and secondary schools in Dasmariñas City. Mayor Elpidio Barzaga, Jr. graced the event and encouraged all volunteers to continue contributing their time, skills, and resources to serve the students and schools in Dasmariñas. Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Manuela Tolentino thanked all the partners in their warm support to DepEd’s programs.

Brigada Eskwela in DepEd Dasmariñas highlighted “Bayanihan for Inclusive Education” and drew attention to addressing the needs of students and teachers in the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Special Education Program (SPED), and Arabic Language Islamic Values Education (ALIVE). The Division’s partners – Amalgamated Specialties Corporation, City Savings Bank, Alaska Milk Corporation, Jollibee, Mcdonald’s Antlers, and Shakey’s Dasmariñas – shared resources to donate learning and teaching kits to the students and teachers.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela is observed from May 28 to June 2 in all public schools nationwide. For more information, visit https://www.depeddasma.edu.ph/brigada-eskwela/.
