The Freedom Park turned purple as DepEd Dasmariñas culminated its celebration of 2018 National Women’s Month on April 6, 2018. The celebration of the Women’s Month kicked off last March 1, 2018 with the symbolic Women Symbol Human Formation joined by the DepEd officials, school heads, teachers, and students of Congressional Integrated High School where it was held. For the entire month of March, all the 43 schools under the division held different activities to show appreciation to the women’s significant role in making change for the society guided by the Division Memorandum No. 23, S. 2018 which was released on February 23, 2018.

The culminating activity featured the cluster exhibit of the 43 schools which presented the different activities they have implemented for the celebration. The activity is made more meaningful by the presence and the inspirational message of Hon. Tagumpay P. Tapawan, City Councilor of Dasmariñas City (Chairman of Committee on Women and Family).


Dr. Manuela S. Tolentino, Schools Division Superintendent, is given honor in one of the segments of the activity as CSDO shows pride in her recent success as full-fledged Schools Division Superintendent. The 6 entries for the National Women’s Month Photography Contest are also displayed for final judging. In the end, all the schools participated are recognized and the winners for the photography contest are also named. They are: Victor Mora (3rd Placer); Ser Voie Cadavedo (2nd Placer); and Shirley Delos Santos and Jeffrey Ison (1st Placer). Mr. Jackson de Lumen of City Savings Bank presented the cash prize for the contest. The cluster with the Best Exhibits are: Cluster 9 (3rd Placer); Cluster 7(2nd Placer); and Cluster 10 (1st Placer). The schools with the best implementation of Women’s Month Activities are Sta. Cruz Elementary School (Elementary) and Congressional Integrated High School (Secondary).


The celebration ended with a Zumba Session and a simple salu-salo of native Filipino breakfast.
