Parangal sa natatangi at nagkakaisang Dasmariñas. In a grand and joyous celebration of the combined Gawad SIGASIG (Sipag, Galing, at Sigla) and Gawad Bayanihan held on October 24 at The Orchard Golf and Country Club, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas recognized the outstanding teachers, schools, and education partners who have demonstrated the spirit of sigasig and bayanihan in their work and partnership towards delivering quality education in the city.
Five Outstanding Teachers from the kindergarten, elementary, secondary levels and Special Education (SPED) were awarded in Gawad SIGASIG, the Division’s annual recognition program for teaching and non-teaching personnel.

Likewise, the 2018 Best Brigada Eskwela Implementers and Jingle Making Contest winners, Outstanding Adopt-a-School Program Coordinators, and Education Partner Awardees of the Division Office and the 43 public schools in the city were recognized in Gawad Bayanihan, the Division’s appreciation program for Adopt-a-School and Brigada Eskwela partners and implementers.

The awards were conferred by no less than DepEd Undersecretary Tonisito M.C. Umali, ESQ, Undersecretary for Legislative Liaison Office, External Partnerships Service, and School Sports, who was invited as the guest of honor.
In his message, Usec. Umali highlighted partnerships and linkages as an integral component of DepEd Secretary Leonor M. Briones’ ten-point agenda. He thanked all the partners and stakeholders including private companies, PTA members, NGOs and civic organizations and the City Government of Dasmariñas led by Mayor Atty. Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr. for their unwavering support to the programs and projects of the Department in service of the Filipino learners.


Together with Usec. Umali, Mr. Christopher R. Diaz, Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Angelina L. Umali, Region IV-A Chief of the Education Support Services Division; Dr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion, Chief of the School Governance and Operations Division; and Dr. Gemma G. Cortez, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, personally handed over the plaque of recognition to the awardees.
The 2018 Gawad SIGASIG and Gawad Bayanihan program is spearheaded by SDS Diaz and organized by the SGOD Human Resource Training and Development Unit and the Social Mobilization and Networking Unit.
