
DASMARIÑAS CITY – To give due honor and recognition to the unwavering service and commitment of about 200 Division personnel and non-teaching staff, the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas holds the first Division Project DEW (Division Employee Welfare) and Search for Gawad SIGASIG (Sipag, Galing, Sigla) sa Paglilingkod on April 18, 2016 at St. Paul College Island Park, Dasmariñas City.
Project DEW is launched to recognize the outstanding work and performance of the Division personnel representing the different units under the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, Curriculum Implementation Division, and Schools Governance and Operations Division. The service awardees are: Maricel Mendoza (OSDS), Leylanie Adao (CID), Giemar Besin (General Services), and Joselito Escalera (Utilities).
Meanwhile, the top three Division employees garnering the highest points for attendance, punctuality, and work performance are conferred with the annual awards. Dr. Gemma Cortez, Education Program Supervisor in English was recognized as Employee of the Year. Dr. Rita Diloy, Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics and Susana Hayag, Public Schools District Supervisor were awarded Gold Performer of the Year and Silver Performer of the Year respectively. Special commendation was also given to the employees with completed research and doctorate degrees namely: Fragilyn Rafael, Marites Manicio, Dr. Gemma Cortez, Dr. Rita Diloy, Dr. Virgilio Guevarra, Jr., Dr. Eulalia Marquez, Dr. Edita Gonzales, Dr. Jessie Layugan, Dr. Antonio Arias, Dr. Leticia Lopez, Dr. John Nepomuceno, Dr. Vanessa Barcarse, and Dr. Kathryn Medina.
Sharing the same recognition for exemplary service, Gawad SIGASIG is designed to commend the dedication of non-teaching staff in the Division including the administrative clerks, drivers, janitors, guards, doctors and nurses among others. The employees who have rendered the most number of years in service and those with outstanding personal qualities and character, work competence and ethics, and punctuality and attendance are duly nominated and awarded.
The Gawad SIGASIG service awardees are: Silva Nepomuceno (26 years), Jose Evasco (20 years), Albert Pagay (26 years), and Loida Paculan (23 years). The cluster winners are: Lorna Tapawan, Irelyn Santos, Bernardita Cedo, and Windie Blanza (Administrative Clerk); Antonio Moreno, Gilbert Gonzales, Emily Ilustre, Romualda Cabugayan, Remedios Bucao, and Francisco Occiano Jr. (Utility); Bayani Tapawan, Dimas Saldo, Marcial Acedera, Lorenzo Rue, Amalia Tañala, Amelito Tokong, Dennis Magat, and Antonio Miguel (Guard), Dr. Brenda Igos (Doctor); Maria Corazon Reyes (Nurse); Zenaida Dordas (Guidance Counselor); and Avelina Descallar (Bookkeeper).
Dr. Manuela S. Tolentino, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent congratulated all the winners and expressed her deep appreciation of their untiring work in the Department. “Through the Project DEW and Gawad SIGASIG, we shall continue to recognize the invaluable work and dedication of the employees in the Division for the service of our learners and schools,” she said. She also commended the committee behind the first Project DEW and Gawad SIGASIG headed by Dr. Vanessa Barcarse, Senior Education Program Specialist for HRD and Gladys Reyes, Administrative Officer of HR and Personnel.
