The City Schools Division of Dasmariñas proclaims its commitment to the delivery of a more innovative, responsive and inclusive basic education support services as it receives the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.
Setting a record of no nonconformity and an impressive accomplishment of Stage 1 and Stage 2 Audits within only one week, DepEd Dasmariñas becomes the first City Schools Division in Region IV-A CALABARZON to be ISO 9001:2015 certified. The certificate was conferred by accreditation agency AJA Registrars on September 19, 2018 in an award ceremony held at The Orchard Golf and Country Club, Dasmariñas City.
The certificate was accepted by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Manuela S. Tolentino, together with Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lualhati O. Cadavedo, CID Chief Dr. Gemma G. Cortez, SGOD Chief Dr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion, and Quality Management Representative Dr. John G. Nepomuceno.
In a heartfelt speech, Dr. Tolentino acknowledged all 115 officials and personnel of the Division Office who worked hand in hand for the establishment of its ISO certified quality management system. “This is the result of our team work and effort. Just like a kite flown not by one person, but by one team, we soar to greater heights for the delivery of a better service. This is our precious legacy to the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas and the learners we serve,” said Dr. Tolentino. She also thanked the schools and other Division stakeholders who supported its journey to ISO certification.
DepEd Dasmariñas was immediately recommended for ISO 9001:2015 certification after it successfully passed the Stage 2 Audit held on August 20, 2018. According to AJA Registrars, in its certification history, DepEd Dasmariñas is the first and only agency to successfully complete Stage 1 and 2 audits within a span of just 5 working days and with no raised nonconformity. The City Schools Division started its preparations for ISO certification in September 2017.
