Annual Physical Examination (APE) of teaching and non-teaching personnel is one of the priorities of the Health and Nutrition Unit (HNU), City Schools Division of Dasmariñas. This is conformably to the DepEd no. 44, s. 2004 and Division Memo no. 26 s. 2011, that the Health and Nutrition Unit shall pursue vigorously the implementation of the prevention of the tuberculosis and other diseases, through case findings, health education and treatment of all positive cases.
Based on the 2015 data of the Positive Tuberculosis (PTB) Cases, we have 27 PTB cases that are undergoing treatment through the help of DOTS facilities. Most of the patients were done with the treatment. The HNU ensure confidentiality of each case.
In this regard, the City Schools Division is requiring all teaching and non-teaching personnel to still undergo Chest X-ray to assure that Tuberculosis is under controlled. All APE results of teaching and non-teaching personnel will be monitored to ensure the health of each individual and for the assurance that they are physically fit to work.
