1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2016, otherwise known as the Policy and Guidelines for the Comprehensive Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Schools (WinS) Program, this Office announces the distribution of bar soaps to all forty-five (45) public schools in the City of Dasmarinas. This initiative supports the promotion and practice of proper handwashing with soap among learners, teachers, and School personnel as part of routine hygiene disease prevention measures.
2. This activity aims to:
a. reinforce daily handwashing practices among learners;
b. support the implementation of the WinS Program in all schools; and
c. promote a safe, clean, and health protective school environment.
3. Distribution Guidelines are as follows:
3.1 Bar soaps shall be issued by the Health and Nutrition Unit personnel to authorized school representatives at the Division Office, on January 7, 2026, from 9AM-4PM.
3.2 School Heads shall ensure proper receipt, storage, and utilization of the bar soaps.
3.3 Schools are advised to allocate soaps primarily for handwashing facilities, prioritizing learner use.
3.4 The soaps shall not be used for purposes other than hygiene and sanitation activities consistent with WinS Program guidelines.
3.5 Schools shall ensure that handwashing facilities are functional, accessible, and adequately supplied.
4. School Heads shall ensure compliance with WinS standards. Their respective schools shall also prepare documentation for monitoring purposes.
