1. Pursuant to RM no. 867, s. 2024 titled “Announcement on the Conduct of the Regional Festival of Talents (RFOT)“, this Office, through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), announces the conduct of the Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) on February 5 and 6, 2025.
2. The DFOT, as a co-curricular activity, is a clear and proactive reinforcement of the teaching and learning process and reflects a significant association between what the learners learned in school and what they performed and produced during this activity. The conduct of DFOT is consistent with the MATATAG education agenda: Take care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education programs, and ensuring that all learners, regardless of background, have access to quality learning opportunities and services.
3. The objectives of the activities are to:
3.1 provide opportunities for learners to showcase their talents and skills;
3.2 ensure that the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual personality of young children are developed; and
3.3 apply 21st-century skills honed by teachers in their daily activities.
4. Participants in this activity shall adhere to DepEd Order No.9, s. 2009 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time- On -Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and guidelines.
