1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2017 known as the Research Management Guidelines
which provides support in research dissemination, utilization, and advocacy, this Office, through the Planning and Research Unit of School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD), creates mechanisms to coordinate all research initiatives and activities from the division level to school level.

2. In this regard, the field is hereby requested to submit/resubmit the Special Order of their designated School Research Coordinators from 2023 to 2025.

3. The School Research Coordinator shall assume the following duties and responsibilities of the research management in the school level, but not limited to:

a. provide directions on school research initiatives based on the identified priority research areas indicated in DepEd Order No. 39, s. 2016 or the Adoption of Basic Education Research Agenda and the other related local memorandum and directives;
b. initiate crafting research in the school level and support other research initiatives of the Division office;
c. provide technical assistance to researchers in the school on the conduct of their study;
d. conduct quarterly monitoring on the research initiatives in school;
e. prepare and submit annual reports to the SDRC (Schools Division Research Committee) on all the conducted research initiatives in school;
f. ensure that all research in schools is aligned with DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2017 or the Research Management Guidelines and other Division guidelines; and
g. endorse research studies conducted in the school to the SDRC for possible SERF grant.
