1. This office reiterates the revitalization of Boy Scouting in schools in line with Regional Memorandum 35 s. 2023 and in pursuant to DepEd Order 49, s. 2007 which encourages school-based scouting activities for better access for most learners.
2. Scouting aids in preventing vices and the damaging effects of drugs and peer pressure. Boy Scouting membership and involvement in its initiatives, activities, and programs should therefore be strongly encouraged and supported in schools, subject to strict compliance to DOH – prescribed minimum health standards and other relative laws, rules, and issuances.
