1. Relative to Division Education Development Plan 2023-2030 which highlights climate change mitigation and adaptation as part of DepEd’s commitment to climate action. Further, as mandated by the Republic Act 9729, otherwise known as the Climate Change Act of 2009 which provides, among others, the role of the department in integrating with its plans, programs, policies and activities the concepts of climate change, the field is hereby informed on the conduct of an environmental webinar series titled PodKast from February to December 2023, at 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM via Microsoft Teams Live event. Link will be shared via division/ school focal person.
2. The activity aims to increase the awareness of learners, the academic community, and DepEd personnel in climate change issues and adaptation and mitigation interventions.
3. Participants to this series of webinars are L&D, GAD, Educ. Facilities, SPG/ SSG, YES-O, and DRRM coordinators, and pupil/student officer. This is also open to other division and school personnel, students, parents, etc. Those who could not join the live event can still access the recorded video using the same link.
4. Enclosed is the schedule of the webinar activities.
