1. The Office of the Undersecretary for Finance issued a memorandum dated May 29, 2020 titled: Directives on the Processing of Payroll and Remittances for the Month of June 2020.

2. The memorandum directed all payroll processors at the Central, Regional and Schools Division Offices as well as the IU-secondary schools nationwide to proceed in the processing of the June 2020 payroll, following the provisions under paragraphs 21.1.3 and 21.2.3 of DepEd Order No. 3, s. 2020.

3. It was also stated in the memorandum that:

a.The Department shall be lifting the loan moratorium, except for DepEd Provident Fund, unless lending institutions such as the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and other extend the loan moratorium to June 2020, such as Bataan Public School Teachers Association and Banco Maximo, Inc. (A Rural Bank). Per initial coordination with GSIS, collection of loan payments shall resume in June 2020.

b. The remittances of all loan amortizations deducted from the salaries of DepEd personnel payable to Pag-IBIG Fund, Land Bank of the Philippines and Private Lending Institutions accredited under the Department’s Automatic Payroll Deduction System shall be withheld until further instruction from this Office, as such shall be refunded to borrowers or remitted to the lenders. This would likely to be remitted to the concerned entities considering the announcement of the PRRD.

c. The Heads of RPSUs are also instructed to directly coordinate with the SDO-ICTs on the necessary adjustment in the June 2020 payroll program, if any. The salaries of DepEd personnel must be credited to their ATM accounts on or before June 15, 2020.
