1. In response to DepEd Memorandum Number 149, s. 2016 also known as 2016 ANNUAL 18-DAY CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN (VAWC), the City Schools Division of Dasmariñas will be joining the campaign by conducting several activities in the division and school level starting November 25 to December 12, 2016.
2. This campaign aims to:
a. increase awareness of the rights- bearer on VAWC and to augment the efforts of dutybearers in eliminating gender- biased violence.
b. increase commitment of rights- holders in eliminating VAWC; and
c. intensify partnership among stakeholders in addressing VAWC.
3. The Division Office, including All Public Elementary and Secondary Schools are encouraged to undertake the following similar activities during the campaign period:
a. Participation in the Kick – off organized by the division office;
b. Participation in the online campaign thread about the observance and uploading activity photos in the SGOD facebook account;
c. Conduct fora / workshops to disseminate information to stakeholders on various forms of VAW in offices, schools, communities and how to minimize if not totally eliminate them
d. Conduct of Division and School level contests (essay, poster- making, slogan- making among others) and activities;
e. Hanging of streamers to ensure wide coverage of implementation of the campaign; and
f. Production and distribution of education and information materials in the division office and schools
4. All expenses relative to the Campaign shall be charged to the Gender and Development (GAD) Funds and Training and Training and Development, subject to the accounting and auditing rules and regulation usual accounting and auditing procedure.
