1. In line with the attainment of the DepEd’s thrust to continually improve the quality of Basic education specifically to raise participation, completion and achievement and implement an official and effective quality assurance mechanism to provide both “youth and adult learners with the skills, knowledge and values they need to become caring, self-reliant, productive and patriotic citizens.” It also recognizes the role of ALS as complement to the formal education system in order to achieve the stated goal of quality education for all.
2. Relative to this, the Division ALS Task Force and FTA Team will conduct the ALS Monitoring and Technical Assistance in all community learning centers (CLC’s) on July 23, 2019 onwards. This is to ensure that the quality management system in the implementation of the program in the division is serving its purpose in strengthening collective accountability.
3. The monitoring aims to:
a. Assess the implementation of the program and provide TA
b. Help identify gaps that need TA, prioritized needs for actions
c. Encourage stakeholders to adopt CLC / learners
d. Discuss mechanism to enhance the implementation of ALS program to improve number of A&E passers through observation and feedback
4. Attached is the composition of the Division ALS Task Force for your guidance.
