1. Pursuant to Regional Order No. 8, s. 2019 titled “DepEd Region 4-A CALABARZON Data Privacy Manual” dated July 25, 2019 and in accordance with Republic Act 10173 also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, this Office reiterates the inherent obligation of the field in securing and protecting the learners’ and teachers’ personal information in various virtual and online school systems.
2. It is expected that the names, class sections, addresses, and other personal information of the learners must not be posted publicly online, unless parental consent has been sought prior to posting. Likewise, teachers’ information such as contact details, addresses, among others must not be posted publicly.
3. In view thereof, all offices and schools in the division are hereby instructed to use the following online space/platforms in dispersing personal information and other relevant details such as activities, grades, and class standing using their official DepEd accounts:
a. Google Classroom b. MOODLE c. Official DepEd Email
4. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is directed.
