1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 120, s. 2024 titled Conduct of Random Monitoring of Schools on Child Protection Committee Functionality, this Division hereby informs the field on the conduct of the Regional Office’s Random Monitoring activity on Schools Child Protection Committee (CPC) Functionality on March 13, 2024 (Wednesday).
2. The monitoring activity aims to provide technical assistance, ensure establishment of CPCs in schools, and assess the functionality of the CPCs in the following areas:
a. Organization and Coordination;
b. Policies and Guidelines;
c. Capacities and Resources;
d. Service Delivery; and
e. Accountability
3. The Regional Office shall select one (1) school from elementary, one (1) school from junior high school, and one (1) school from senior high school. It will be selected randomly; thus, it is expected that all public and private schools will be ready and available in case their school is subject for monitoring. Once selected, the school will convene their CPC members to attend a conference and focus group discussion. The School Head of the selected school with the help of the school’s Guidance Counselor /Teacher shall ensure the availability of documents or any means of verification (MOVs) per Tool indicator.
