1. Relative to Regional Memorandum No. 210 s. 2023, this Office announces the conduct of the 1st Philippine Book Festival (PBF) at the World Trade Center, Pasay City on June 2-4, 2023. This event, which invites DepEd personnel, learners, and parents, offers a variety of programs related to education, entertainment, and tourism.
2. Should schools organize their respective delegation to attend the event, members must be different from the identified participants of the “National Market Scoping for Supplementary Learning Resources (SLRs) for School Libraries and Library Hubs” as stipulated in DM-CT-2023-58. It is strongly recommended that designated School LR Coordinators, Teacher-Librarians, and Library-in-Charge to be members of the delegation subject to the approval of the School Head.
3. In addition, expenses incurred relative to participation including traveling to the venue may be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulation.
4. Participation to this activity shall adhere to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 on Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith, and strict compliance to other existing DepEd rules and guidelines.
