1. Pursuant to Division Memorandum No. 160, s. 2025 re: Conduct of Learning Sessions for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025 Main Survey, and in response to potential class suspensions due to extreme heat conditions, this Office is instructing the two (2) PISA sample schools and all the identified teacher-trainers to proceed with the scheduled PISA Learning Sessions in a face-to face/onsite setup as planned. This decision is consistent with the instruction of the DepEd Regional Office to continue the momentum of the learning sessions, while ensuring safety of the participating teachers and learners.
2. The PISA sample schools are advised to take all the necessary measures in ensuring that learning sessions will be held inside an airconditioned room, and that consent of parents of all participating learners is secured. Applicable provisions of DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024 on Revised Guidelines on Class and Work Suspension in Schools during Disasters and Emergencies shall still apply.
3. The PISA sample schools are also reminded to observe all prescribed health and safety protocols on extreme heat conditions. Coordination with the school and division Health and Nutrition Units is expected.
