1. Relative to Deped Memorandum No. 127, s. 2018 entitled Search for Outstanding Barkada Kontra Droga Implementers in Secondary Schools for School Year 2017-2018 and Division Memorandum of Agreement between the City Schools Division and Friendship Builders Foundation, Inc.. the field is hereby informed on Peer Facilitators Training on Drug Awareness and Values Education (DAVE) for Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) on November 23, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
2. The training aims to:
a. engage BKD Advisers and select Officers in drug awareness activities to assist their students to make healthy and safe choices, identify risky situations, and develop strategies to prepare them for challenging situations;
b. train BKD Advisers and select Officers in peer facilitation;
c. assist BKD Advisers and select Officers to develop educational programmes, policies, procedures and other experiences that contribute to the achievement of broader health goals of preventing drug use and abuse; and
d. help BKD Advisers and select Officers to initiate sustainable programs, projects and activities in Drug Awareness and Values Education.
