1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum no 312 entitled BRIGADA Every Child a Reader and as a part of Division Responsive Reading Program, the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas will conduct a 3-Day Capability Training on Reading Development for school heads, supervisors, select Kinder to Grade 3 teachers and master teachers with the theme “Becoming an Effective Teacher of Reading in the 21st Century” from October 21 to 23, 2019 at NCST Multipurpose Hall.
2. The objectives of the training are as follows:
a. explain the transitioning of one key reading stage to another
b. explain the importance and features of emergent reading in the development of comprehension among learners;
c. orient the participants on the fundamentals of reading towards the attainment on literacy across learning areas;
d. integrate reading in specific lessons for decoding, comprehension and content understanding; and
e. determine reading remediation program based on the needs of the learners
3. Participants are composed of 84 Grades 1-3 teachers, 25 school heads, 15 master teachers/key teachers 10 kinder teachers, and 20 supervisors.
4. Enclosed are the copies of the matrix, list of participants, committees, and program of the activity.
5. NO REGISTRATION FEE shall be collected from the participants.
