1. DepEd Dasmarinas commits itself to ensure that education will continue despite crisis. It is in this premise that the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) has come up with these Contextualized Policy Guidelines for the Implementation of Online Distance Learning (ODL) Modality for SY 2020-2021 in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
2. These contextualized policy guideline specifically aim to make education possible despite the challenges in the new normal set-up. They have been created to serve as guide and give direction for the proper implementation of ODL and to ensure that they will not cause pressure to teachers, learners and parents but eventually find it more conducive and a level-up platform for teaching and learning.
3. This set of Contextualized Policy Guidelines is grounded on the following principles:
a. The Online Distance Learning (ODL) contents are basically aligned to the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) required for each grade level.
b. Contents are holistic, authentic and interactive thus, hitting the learning competencies to be developed among school learners.
c. Contextualization of contents could be done in an effort to adopt all activities to the needs, interest and levels of teachers and learners.
4. These Contextualized Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of Online Distance Learning (ODL) Modality shall be for the consumption of all public elementary and secondary schools for School Year 2020-2021.
5. Immediate dissemination and compliance to these Contextualized Policy Guidelines on the
Implementation of ODL are required.
