1. In line with the Orders and Issuances released by the Department of Education for the protection of children/learners, the Office of the Regional Director, Region IV-A CALABARZON, released its guidelines in the express reporting and handling of cases of child abuse and any analogous and similar cases, as well as cases of bullying.
2. The Department of Education exercises the “No-Tolerance” Policy when it comes to cases involving child abuse and bullying. Thus, everyone is reminded that these cases are subject to the jurisdiction of the Department. They cannot be amicably settled, even in the barangay, and are handled expeditiously.
3. To better guide the School Heads, Guidance Counselors/Designates, and all the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the Division on the manner of reporting and handling cases of child abuse and bullying, a copy of the aforementioned guidelines is attached to this memorandum for your perusal.

The widest dissemination of the Division’s School Handbook to the stakeholders, both internal and external, is highly encouraged.
