1. Pertinent to DepEd Order No. 34, series of 2022 titled School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2022-2023 and the Memorandum from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns – Youth Formation Division (OASYASC-YFD) dated August 12, 2022, the field is hereby informed of the conduct of the election of officers for the Homeroom Class Organization and Supreme Pupil and Supreme Student Government (SPG/ SSG) from August 22 to September 2 and September 5 to 16, 2022, respectively.
2. As one of the Department’s directives to bolster student and youth leadership among our learners as viable catalysts for nation-building, it is indispensable for schools to facilitate its student organization’s elections and other student-led initiatives for learner participation in the School Governing Council.
3. Accordingly, other Academic-related and Co-Curricular Clubs and Organizations (e.g. Youth for Environment in Schools Organization, Barkada Kontra Droga, Red Cross Youth Council, etc.) may start their membership recruitment activities and election of officers a week after the SPG and SSG.
4. The Division Federated Elections for the SPG, SSG, YES-0 and BICE) Officers is likewise scheduled on September 27, 2022. A separate Division Memorandum will be issued announcing the details of such.
5. In light of these issuances, the Department issues the revised Interim Guidelines on Student Government Elections titled Youth Commission of Elections
