1. Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum no 158 s. 2019, the field is hereby enjoined to participate in this endeavor by conducting various activities indicated in the attached memorandum and/or school-initiated activities which aim to promote love for reading.
2. Let this year’s theme ” Magbasa’t Umunlad” be inculcated in our learners as our division puts premium on this matter. Thus, this activity specifically aims to
a. inculcate the value of reading in the development of our learners;
b. raise awareness on the importance of collaboration and partnership in eradicating reading problems in the field; and
c. involve everyone (LGU, NGOs, school personnel, parents, and other community members) in this worthwhile activity.
3. All school heads, division chiefs, supervisors, and other DepEd personnel are encouraged to conduct story reading before a group of learners for this month.
4. Moreover, school partners may also be invited to be part of this activity.
5. A one-page article about the conduct of this activity needs to be prepared and may be posted on social media. Soft copy of the article must be sent to division office through this email address, noel.anciado@deped.gov.ph.
