Pursuant to DepED Memorandum No. 22 , s. 2017, the Metrobank Foundation Inc., (MBFI), Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP), Department of Education DepED, will hold 2017 Metrobank-MTAPDepED Math Challenge (MMC) from January to March 2017. Relative to this, the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas will be holding the 2017 Division Metrobank MTAP-DepED Math Challenge on the schedules and venues shown below.

3. The overall objective of the competition is to contribute in improving the quality of Mathematics Education in the Philippines through the following:
a. awakening greater interest in Mathematics among elementary and secondary school learners;
b. encourage them to strive for excellence in Mathematics;
c. discovering mathematical talents among them;
d. developing the values of hardwork, perseverance, honesty, teamwork and sportsmanship; and
e. providing them with opportunities and leadership and cooperative undertaking.
4. The Elimination and Schools Division Level Competition will be participated in by the elementary and secondary school learners in the division. All Public and Private schools are required to submit the MMC Form 1 contained in the enclosure to the schools division office for registration.
5. Only Grade VI and 10 winners shall compete in the Regional Finals.
6. No registration fee shall be collected from the participating schools. All expenses shall be shouldered by the Division MTAP funds.

8. Relative to the Math Challenge activity, there will be a consultative meeting on February 13 (Monday), 3:00 p.m onwards at Dasma National High School. Participants to the consultative meeting are Annaliza Villanueva and Florence Laureles for elementary Level and all the Head Teachers in the secondary level.
