1. In response to DepEd program, Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa and in compliance with DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2018, the field is hereby instructed to conduct Phil-IRI assessment to learners in public elementary and secondary schools. Phil-IRI assessment is mandated for grades III (Filipino only) and for grades IV-VII (English and Filipino) This shall be conducted from March 2-6, 2020.
2. The results must be encoded in the spreadsheet through this link, http://bit.ly/postphiliri, on or before March 13, 2020 while the result per section must be compiled properly in a separate folder of school-based Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa.
3. Learners who are identified under frustration (both in oral and comprehension) shall be provided with necessary interventions such as but not limited to intensive remediation and school-home partnership.
4. School heads shall provide necessary support to upskill and reskill teachers in the provision of appropriate interventions and shall ensure that learners will transfer to higher grade level equipped with required decoding and comprehension skills.
5. To facilitate quick, easy, and accurate profiling of learners’ individual reading inventory, the schools are encouraged to use the template developed by Ms. Bernadette Dagohoy and Lizalyn Aquilizan available at http://bitly/philirritool.
