1. Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 013, s. 2025, this Office informs the field of the partnership between the Department of Education and South Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in the establishment of Education Center for Al Research (ECAIR). This recognizes the importance of artificial intelligence (Al) in revolutionizing education, evidence-based research, and industry development to ensure that learners and educators are equipped with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to thrive in their future work.
2. The ECAIR will operate primarily for DepEd, which shall continue to attune its activities towards collaborative efforts with other national and local government agencies including industry partners with the primary objective of capacitating educational institutions towards innovation through the use of Al tools.
