1. In reference to DepEd Order No. 001, s. 2026 titled “Implementing Guidelines on the Enhanced Alternative Learning System”, the ALS reiterates the importance of conducting Literacy Mapping as a foundational activity in identifying prospective learners. It also underscores the need to undertake
ALS advocacy and social mobilization to effectively inform communities about the ALS programs and reach target learners.
2. In line with this, ALS implementers shall conduct Literacy Mapping for SY 2026-2027 on May 4 to May 28, 2026 to ensure systematic identification and profiling of potential ALS learners within their respective assigned communities in the division.
