1. By virtue of the Republic Act 10398 or the Act declaring November 25 of every year as the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of VAWC, government agencies are mandated to raise awareness on the problem of violence and the elimination of all forms of violence against women and children. The field is hereby informed of the Division Kick Off Ceremony of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) 2022 with the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines” on November 25, 2022 at 8:00 AM via DepEd Tayo Dasmarinas Facebook and YouTube Live.
2. The 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC supports the Philippine government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and children by upholding its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution.
3. The activity aims to:
a. Empower women by campaigning for women’s and children’s rights and available courses of actions in case these rights are violated;
b. Encourage others to fight for women’s rights; and
c. Inform the public that the City Schools Division of Dasmarinas is a government agency that promotes and supports anti-violence against women and children.
4. All division and public-school personnel, especially GAD coordinators, are encouraged to watch the live ceremony.
