1. This Office hereby informs the field of Resolution No. 125-S-2024, titled “Resolution Declaring a Period of Mourning in the City of Dasmarinas for the Passing of Hon. Atty. Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr., Representative, Lone District of the City of Dasmarinas, Cavite, from April 27, 2024, until the date of his Interment”.
2. In light of this resolution, all offices and schools within the Division are directed to adhere to Republic Act No. 8941, also referred to as “The Code of the National Flag, Anthem, Motto, Coat -of-Arms, and other Heraldic Items and Devices of the Philippines”, which mandates the National Flag to be flown at half-mast as a symbol of mourning on all buildings and locations where it is displayed.
3. The City Schools Division of Dasmarinas mourns the passing of Hon. Atty. Elpidio F. Barzaga, recognizing his invaluable contributions as a dedicated advocate for education in Dasmarinas. Therefore, this Office shall observe the period of mourning in the City of Dasmarinas from April 27, 2024, until the date of his interment.
4. Widest dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum is directed.
