1. Relative to DepEd Order No. 005, s. 2024 titled Rationalization of Teachers’ Workload in Public Schools and Payment of Teaching Overload, this Office provides guidance to all public elementary and secondary schools on designating teaching-related assignments managed by the three functional divisions – Curriculum Implementation Division (CID), School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD), and Office of the Schools Division Superintendent (OSDS) – to teachers.
2. As defined, teaching-related assignments refer to tasks related to teaching and academic learning which support learner development and are performed by teachers in consideration of their professional expertise and experience. Based on DepEd Order No. 002, s. 2024 re: Immediate Removal of Administrative Tasks of Public School Teachers, teaching-related assignments are not administrative tasks.
