1. In line with the recently released Memorandum from the Central Office (DMOUHRODI-2026-1954) aligned with the provisions in DepEd Order No. 032, s. 2017 on Gender-Responsive Basic Education (GRBE) Policy which mandates the annual celebration of Pride Month every June in recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community, this Office hereby informs the field of its widest dissemination with the theme: “DepEd’s Pride: Where Every Identity Belongs.”
2. The said endeavor shall affirm our organization’s mandate in upholding a gender-responsive, inclusive and non-discriminatory institution where no one is left behind, recognize individual differences, promote inclusivity and equality within the DepEd community and celebrate the contribution of the members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Likewise, it seeks to address the stigma on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) through intensive awareness on reproductive health education and HIV/AIDS prevention.
3. Attention is also given to paragraph 2 highlighting the provisions in DepEd Order No. 25, s. 2025 titled “Policy on the Implementation of Reproductive Health Education for Adolescent Learners in Basic Education” which reiterates the Department’s commitment in providing age and developmentally-appropriate reproductive health education to adolescent learners while promoting responsible behaviors and values.
