Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2026 titled “Media Management Guidelines”, this Office disseminates media management guidelines in delivering accurate and timely news and content to the basic education sector and the general public. This provides clear direction for the effective and safe management of DepEd’s media platforms, encompassing both traditional and new media.
2. To provide a comprehensive set of guidelines for managing DepEd’s print, broadcast, and social media accounts across all platforms and communications and establish basic rules for the effective, responsible, and secure use of media channels, taking into account the constitutional rights to privacy and freedom of expression, subject to applicable laws and civil service regulations, the following guidelines shall be observed:
