1. Relative to the conduct of the Regional Memorandum No. 391, s. 2023 titled
Regional Training of Trainers (RToT) for Higher Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Mathematics, and Science Teachers, the field is hereby informed of the Division Rollout of Higher-Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs) for English, Science, and Mathematics Teachers (Grades 9 And 10), in-person/ stay-in modality, from August 22 to 25, 2023, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Fynn Boutique Hotel, Bacoor City, Cavite.
2. At the end of the Professional Development program, participants will be able to:
a. Demonstrate an understanding of the SOLO Framework and the HOTS
Professional Learning Packages as evidenced by their meritorious formative and
summative assessment results; and
b. Develop a Workplace Application Plan to:
i. conceptualize SOLO-based teaching strategies/methodologies;
ii. assess learner’s cognitive level consistent with the SOLO Framework; and
iii. formulate assessment items/instructional questions promoting HOTS.
3. Travel costs incurred during the in-person participation shall be charged against available local funds subject to usual accounting and auditing guidelines.
4. All participants and the training management team shall be given Service Credits for teaching personnel and Compensatory Overtime Credits (COC) for the non-teaching personnel based on the actual services rendered during the training. Thus, all participants are required to bring and submit DTR.
