1. Attached herewith is the DepEd Memorandum No. 028, s. 2024, titled 126th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence with the theme, “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan” from May 28 to June 30, 2024. This is in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 110, s. 1963 titled Declaring June 12 as Philippine Independence Day, and Administrative Order No. 23, s. 2011 titled Creating a Steering Committee on National Observance.
2. Attention is hereby invited to pages 1-2 highlighting paragraphs 4-5, emphasizing the schools to commemorate the 126th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and to observe the National Flag Day.
3. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Memorandum is desired.
