1. In relation to the approved NDRRMC Memorandum No. 006, s. 2023 titled, “Resumption of Face-to-face Conduct of Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill”, and in support to the call of the City DRRM for city wide drill, all offices across all levels in the Department and Schools are enjoined to participate in the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on September 7, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
2. All DepEd personnel and learners are enjoined to practice the whole earthquake protocol procedures as follows:
a. sound the alarm for 3 minutes
b. response
c. evacuation
d. assembly
e. head counting

3. In order to further raise awareness regarding the earthquake drill, SDRRM
Coordinators are encouraged to intensify the Information, Education, and
Communication (IEC) campaign by displaying information on earthquake
preparedness measures focusing on children, women, youth students, and senior citizens and conduct earthquake campaigns through an assembly or online forums such as media platforms and video conferences.
