1. In reference to the Division Memorandum No. 35 s. 2019 re Division Policy On Curriculum Teaching And Instructional Materials (IMs) Localization, results of the observation of classes, monitoring and provision of technical assistance conducted by the Education Program Supervisors (EPS) and Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) show that localization in the classroom was not given utmost importance and teachers have different interpretation on this matter. In fact, teachers have only few tangible copies or compilation of instructional materials and references that aid teaching and this results to shallow curriculum delivery.

2. Hence, this Division, through such policy strongly encouraged that Key Stage I localized materials be crafted so that localization will be strictly implemented in the field as stated in the implementing rules and regulation of RA 10533.

Cruz Elementary School. This activity aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers in the development and illustration of story books and create localized/contextualized story books for Kinder to Grade 3.
