1. Please be informed that the 2020 CALABARZON HEROES GAMES is indefinitely postponed until further notice and as per advice of Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr., the live- in training of Dasmarinas City Athletes and Coaches is temporarily canceled until further notice. All concerned athletes, coaches and trainers are advised to report to their respective elementary and secondary schools beginning March 10, 2020.
2. The following reasons were considered for the postponement, to wit:
2.1 President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and DOH declared a State of Public Health Emergency. The issuance of such declaration of the COVID-19 Alert System to Code Red sub level 1 brought about by the confirmation of local transmission in the country and the possible community transmission, after considering all critical factors with the aim of safeguarding the health of the Filipino public.
2.2 Dep Ed Memo No. 034, s.2020, Fifth Set of Policy Directives of DepEd Task Force COVID19, under item 7, letter a & b, which stated:
a. All national activities involving learners and/or teachers requiring travel and congregation of various schools, divisions, and/or regions except for the already on-going National Schools Press NSPC and NFOT, are suspended effective upon the issuance of this memorandum and will remain so until further notice through an appropriate memorandum.
b. All regional activities involving learners and/or teachers requiring travel and congregation of various schools, and/or division, including Regional Palaro (Regional Athletic Meets), are suspended effective upon the issuance of the memorandum and until further notice.
3. For information, guidance, immediate dissemination, appropriate action and strict compliance of this Memorandum highly enjoined.
